When Life Changes

A terminal or life-limiting diagnosis can quietly take more than time — it can take away the feeling of truly living.

The days may still be there, but energy fades. Plans get postponed. Simple things — like travel, connection, or doing something just for joy — feel further away. It’s not just about what the body can or can’t do. It’s about how illness quietly steals the feeling of living fully.

Even with the desire to make the most of what time remains, many find themselves stuck. They might be too unwell to plan something alone, unsure where to start, or without the support to turn a meaningful moment into reality.

The time is there. But without support, it slips quietly away.

Why This Matters to Us

Hi, I’m Jack — founder of Project: Life.
In 2023, my dear friend Anthony lost his battle with mouth cancer. In his final months, my friend Darren and I stepped in to care for him full time. No formal plan — just love, and the belief that no one should face something like that alone.

Anthony often spoke about wanting to visit Ireland one last time. It was something that mattered deeply to him. But his health declined too quickly — and without the right support in place, that moment quietly passed by.

From Grief to Purpose

That experience stayed with us.

Anthony’s story isn’t unique. Across the UK, too many adults reach the end of life with things left unsaid, undone, or just out of reach — not because they’ve stopped hoping, but because no one knew how to help them follow through.

Often, it’s not just the grand gestures that matter most. It’s the small, personal moments — a place, a person, a conversation, a sense of peace. That’s what we’ve come to understand.

That's where our mission began!

Let’s Make it Happen

That experience — and others like it — became the reason Project: Life exists.

We’re here to change what’s possible for adults facing terminal or life-limiting conditions. To make sure no one is forgotten. To help create meaningful, lasting experiences — even when time feels short.

  • 1. We Connect

You get in touch — or someone nominates on your behalf. We start with a conversation. No pressure. Just listening, care, and understanding.

  • 2. We Collaborate

We work with you, your loved ones, and your medical team to shape what’s truly possible — safely, meaningfully, and with care. You bring what matters most; we take on the planning, so you can focus on being present, not overwhelmed.

  • 3. It Happens

When the time comes, your only job is to be there. We take care of everything else — so you can focus on what really matters: making memories, feeling connected, and being fully present.

Our Services

We don’t offer set packages.
We know no two people are the same.

What we offer is something far more meaningful: completely bespoke experiences, shaped around you, your values, and what matters most at this stage of life.

We’re not here to offer options. We’re here to offer possibility.

Whether you reach out for yourself or gently nominate someone you care about, we’ll take the time to listen and see how we can help.

Whatever this moment needs to be for you — we’ll help you make it real.

  • 1. Personalised Experiences, Designed Around You

We don’t offer set packages — because you’re not a checklist. Every experience is crafted with care, shaped entirely around your wishes, values, and what matters most to you right now. We take the time to truly listen, so what we create reflects your story — not someone else’s idea of it.

  • 2. Gentle, Human Support Every Step of the Way

From your first message to the day your experience happens, we’re right there beside you — offering clear communication, thoughtful planning, and real emotional support. We also work closely with loved ones and healthcare providers to ensure everything feels safe, comfortable, and considered — without ever losing the personal touch.

  • 3. Access Without Barriers — and With Honesty

We believe meaningful experiences should be as accessible as possible. Some are fully funded through donations, sponsorships, or community support. Others may involve a partial or full contribution from you or your loved ones, depending on the scale and complexity.

Whatever the circumstances, we’ll always be upfront and work closely with you to explore all available options — with no pressure and no hidden costs.
