FAQs

1. Who is Project: Life for?
Project: Life is for adults aged 18 and over in the UK who are living with a terminal or life-limiting illness. Whether you're reaching out for yourself or someone you love, we're here to create something deeply meaningful — whatever that looks like for you.

2. What if I don’t know exactly what I want?
That’s completely okay. You don’t need a plan — just a hope, a feeling, or something that matters to you. We’ll meet you there, listen carefully, and shape the experience together, step by step.

3. How do I apply or nominate someone?
You can apply for yourself or gently nominate someone else using our contact form. There’s no pressure — just a conversation to explore what might be possible.

4. How are these experiences funded?
Experiences are funded in a variety of ways — through donations, sponsorships, crowdfunding, or personal contributions when needed. It all depends on the complexity and scale. We’ll always be open about this and work together to find the best path.

5. Will this be safe for me, given my condition?
Absolutely. Your safety and comfort come first. We work closely with your medical team and loved ones to ensure the experience is appropriate, supported, and tailored to your needs.

6. Am I too early or too late to apply?
If you’re living with a life-limiting or terminal condition, it’s never too early to reach out — and never too late to be heard. Whether you’ve just been diagnosed or are further along, we’re here to help you make the most of this moment.

7. What if my wish is simple?
Every wish is valid. Sometimes the smallest moments — a visit, a song, a shared experience — hold the greatest meaning. There’s no expectation for something grand. This is about you.

8. What if I’m not ready to talk yet?
That’s okay. There’s no rush. You’re welcome to browse, take it all in, and reach out when the time feels right. We’ll be here whenever you are.

9. Is this just for people with cancer or in hospice care?
No. Project: Life is for anyone with a terminal or life-limiting illness, regardless of the diagnosis. We’re here for all stories, all backgrounds, and all experiences.

10. Will I be pressured into something I’m not comfortable with?
Never. Every decision is yours. We’ll never push you toward anything you’re unsure of. Our role is to support, not steer — and you’ll always have the final say.
